BULUSAN VOLCANO (SORSOGON) BULLETIN 05 December 2015 8:00 A.M.
Bulusan Volcano’s seismic monitoring network recorded two (2) volcanic earthquakes during the past 24 hours. Steaming activity could not be observed due to thick clouds covering the summit.
Alert Level 1 (abnormal) remains in effect over Bulusan Volcano. This indicates that hydrothermal processes are underway beneath the volcano that may lead to steam-driven eruptions. The local government units and the public are reminded that entry to the 4-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) is strictly prohibited due to the possibility of sudden and hazardous steam-driven or phreatic eruptions.
KANLAON VOLCANO (NEGROS ORIENTAL) BULLETIN 05 December 2015 8:00 AM
Kanlaon Volcano’s seismic monitoring network recorded three (3) volcanic earthquakes during the past 24 hours. Weak to moderate emission of white steam plumes that rose up to 50m high above the summit crater before drifting to the southwest was observed.
From Dutchsinse:
Mount Etna in Italy sends off largest blast in 2 years...
This makes two blasts ..large volcanic blasts... in a few days time.. one in Nicaragua, and another on the other side of the planet in Italy.
I'd expect more to show up in the news over the next several days.
The deep movement below the Pacific plate last week is the culprit behind the new eruptions this week.
Geologists and Seismologists said this was "impossible" -- and never noticed the relation ... then I came along... now here we are, and it's happening just like we thought it would.
Will they finally accept this is happening? That deep earthquakes below a plate mean that within a week there will be shallower larger earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions around the plate experiencing the deep movement.
Nicaraguan Volcano Erupts For The First Time In 110 Years
Nicaragua's Momotombo volcano erupted for the first time in 110 years on Tuesday, spewing lava and plumes of ash into the sky.
Residents in nearby communities reported hearing a loud explosion before seeing gas and ash spout from the volcano, according to Nicaraguan daily newspaper La Prensa.
Earlier this month, Guatemala's Fuego volcano erupted some 320 miles away, covering at least six villages with ash and forcing guests at a nearby hotel to evacuate. - Huffington Post
