Boac officials and its town folks should preserve the Town's century-old houses.This will surely boost the local tourism...

Right. That's one of the items the Provincial Tourism Council with the support of the Boac Municipal Tourism Concil hopes to take up within 2009. Some years ago the Municipal Sangguniang Bayan adopted a Resolution providing tax incentives to owners of old houses who would undertake efforts to preserve them. Only one house-owner (Casa Narvas) has succeeded so far in getting the NHI to declare it as a Heritage Site. But there are many other historic houses in Boac. There is a current effort to have the Provincial Capitol (Built in the 1920s) also declared as a Heritage Site.

Cool!There are only few towns left including boac town with sizable collection of these colonial houses.Cities of Vigan and Sagay ,Towns of Taal,Batangas,Carcar, Cebu and Mambajao,Camiguin
