"MORIONES" GOES TO PANAGBENGA


The MORIONES Float design for this year's PANAGBENGA FLOWER FESTIVAL '09 in Baguio City. Conceptualized by PPDO's DING GO and graphic design executed by artist TON MONTEAGUDO. Marinduque contingent led by Provincial Administrator Allan Q. Velasco is participated in by some members of the traditional morion groups, Kapatiran and Mistah. Moriones presence in the Summer Capital is aimed to promote Marinduque as the Lenten Capital of the Philippines.

Enjoy all the pictures and agreed that Marinduque should be promoted as the Lenten Capital of the Philippines. To help tourists navigate around the island, I suggest that signs regarding Kilometers on the highway be updated. I notice there are new signs posted across the provincial capital to BOAC and GASAN. In Gasan, there are now signs to Tres Reyes, Talao Cave etc...
