Government-owned heavy equipment in treasure find

"See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"

Photos are shown here of the ocular inspection conducted by members of the Gasan municipal board at the much talked-about hidden treasure site in an estuary in Brgy. Bahi.

These photos also show that, indeed, clearing operations were undertaken in the private property apparently with the use of government-owned heavy equipment emblazoned with the seal of the provincial government of Marinduque.

Many people obviously find it easier to just look the other way and not remark about any impropriety that may have been committed. Many more would just refuse to acknowledge or feign ignorance about the presence of those big monsters and insist on seeing and believing what they have yet to find, or claim that the workers were just out there on a picnic in the mangroves.

Now I’ve heard it scuttlebutted that a new protagonist is getting into the picture to provide the smoke screen with some fancy flair and style.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."

—Opening paragraph of A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (1859).

New signs now to defuse some of the noise.
