In Brgy. Masiga, Gasan is located the only commercial airport in Marinduque, the Marinduque Airport. The first terminal building was constructed in 1958, during the incumbency of Gasan's Col. Arthur D. Sevilla as acting administrator of the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA).

Many residents are into farming and fishing (bagoong, fish paste and patis, salty fish sauce are produced here). They are inclined to always take part in barangay or town-sponsored leisure, cultural or religious activities.
For several years now since the introduction of the Gasang-Gasang Street Dancing Festival (Easter Sunday), young people from Masiga have consistently won as annual champion.
Recently this barangay celebrated its fiesta in honor of Mediatrix, Ina ng Lahat ng mga Biyaya (Our Lady of Mediatrix of all Graces). It was highlighted by a show of the street-dancers and a beauty pageant that showcased this year's barangay beauties.
