Reporter's Notebook (GMA 7 News) feature on the Marinduque environmental disasters


Video of "Lason ng Minahan" by GMA 7 hosted by Jiggy Manicad and Maki Pulido telecast on Dec. 4, 2014. It features the testimony of disaster victim Wilson Manuba of Sta. Cruz, Marinduque whose legs had to be amputated after wounds became so severe due to high mercury toxicity in his blood, as well as his life as a fisherman up to present in polluted Calancan Bay; also what transpired in Mogpog and Boac Rivers, sites of major environmental disasters nearly two decades ago with knowledgeable people as resources. The people of Marinduque continue to seek justice for the environmental damages and health hazards caused by Marcopper.
